Behind another outstanding effort from Dana Vasko, the Woodcreek High girls golf team outplayed Placer Wednesday, taking a 226-256 match win at Sierra Pines. Vasko posted a 38 to share medallist honors with Placer’s Hannah Gregg on the par-36 course. Jessica Roberts added a 44 for Woodcreek, while Lexi Robinson carded a 46 to provide the depth at the top that carried the Timberwolves to the victory. Sydney Ryan shot a 45 as Placer’s No. 2 performer on the day. The win moves Woodcreek’s season record to 2-0 with a Thursday match at Rocklin (Whitney Oaks) scheduled for Thursday.
