A juvenile was flown to an area hospital after reportedly falling head first off a fence late Friday afternoon. Placer Hills Fire District Chief Ian Gow said emergency personnel responded to a call that a juvenile was complaining of neck pain at 4:42 p.m. off Pear Valley Lane in Clipper Gap. Gow said paramedics had to hike to reach the youth because he was away from the house and up on nearby railroad tracks. He said medics determined there was possible severe head and neck injury. The youth was carried out to the ambulance and driven to the area-landing zone at the Clipper Gap park and ride off Interstate 80. He was flown to Sutter Roseville Medical Center. As of Tuesday, Gow said he did not have an update on the youth’s status. - Jenifer Gee
