Nonprofit Takes Flight
Pegasus Project gives its first helicopter ride on Saturday
Photos by Ashley Baer/Auburn Journal

Founded in 2006 by Cool resident Lance Bartczak, Pegasus Project is a nonprofit organization that provides the gift of helicopter flights to children and adolescents who are suffering or have suffered from serious, life-threatening or chronic illnesses. On Saturday at the Auburn Airport, its first flight went to 20-year-old Modesto high school student Andrew Garcia, who suffers from cerebal palsy and a brain seizure disorder. Andrew, along with his parents Susan and David Garcia, was taken on an hour flight by Bartczak.

For more information about Pegasus Project, contact secretary Marie Bartczak at (530) 886-0964.
