Motorcycle duo in ‘good condition’ after big rig accident
Cause of Friday collision under investigation
By Jenifer Gee Journal Staff Writer

Two motorcyclists are in “good condition” after a collision with a big rig last week.

David Milldrum, 29, of Rocklin, and Roxanna Bradford, 24, of Roseville, were both listed in “good condition” Monday afternoon according to Liz Madison, spokeswoman for Sutter Roseville Medical Center.

The duo were reportedly riding together on a motorcycle when it collided with a big rig while both vehicles were traveling eastbound on Interstate 80 just west of Secret Town, according to Officer Greg Cassina with the Gold Run California Highway Patrol office.

Minnesota resident Mark Koch, 64, was driving the truck, Cassina said.

The accident happened at about 4:30 p.m. Friday and shut down the highway for about 45 minutes. Traffic was diverted through Colfax and backed up for about two miles, according to Auburn CHP spokesman David Martinez.

Cassina said both Milldrum and Bradford were transported via helicopter. A CAL STAR air ambulance took one while the other was flown in a CHP helicopter.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

No charges have been filed, Cassina said.

Cassina estimated that thousands of motorcyclists were headed up to Reno over the weekend for the Street Vibrations Motorcycle Festival.

He could not say whether the couple was headed to the event.
