Non-injury accident possibly caused by red-light run
A non-injury accident on South Whitney and Sunset boulevards caused drivers to be redirected shortly Thursday afternoon. The accident occurred about 2 p.m. today. Rocklin Police Sgt. Tom Dwyer said neither driver was injured, except for complaint of pain. Both declined medical attention, Dwyer said. Dwyer said the accident may have been caused by one of the drivers running a red light, turning left from Sunset Boulevard onto S. Whitney Boulevard. One of the cars endured a complete rollover, Dwyer said. Both cars, a four-door sedan and a Jeep sport utility vehicle, were leaking fluids and towed away, Dwyer said. The accident is currently under investigation, Dwyer said, and the roadways are clear. ~ Lauren Gibbs
