RINO Endorses Democrat over Conservative in NY23rd
Democrat, Conservative, Liberal Republican

Despite a clear advantage to the Republican party in the NY 23rd district, the Democrat candidate won after former Republican candidate Dede Scozzafava endorsed the Democratic contender for a vacant New York congressional seat over a Conservative backed by Republican leaders one day after she withdrew from the race.

Scozzafava, a state assemblywoman, two days ago announced her support for Democrat Bill Owens in his race against Doug Hoffman, the Conservative Party candidate, in a Nov. 3 special election in New York’s traditionally Republican 23rd congressional district.

Owens won the election by a margin less than the votes taken by Scozzafava. Had she thrown her support for the conservative, he would have won.

- The fundamental problem in the Republican party is that it has many such RINOs in its leadership. They actually hate conservatives more than Democrats.

Scozzafava, a *liberal* whom the media continuously refers to as a moderate, would rather see the district go to a Democrat than to a conservative.

The Democrats are currently in angst over the "Blue Dog Democrats" who are typically pretty moderate and occasionally conservative as the Republican party begins looking hard at its own left wing.

Placer County has its own "Scozzafava" RINOs.

They attack their own conservative leadership, run liberals against incumbents, and support liberal Republicans who defy the party principles.

I hope the Republican party gets the correct message from this. If they trust these snakes, they will get bit.

Scozzafava demonstrated that her allegiance to liberalism is much stronger than her allegiance to the party, or its principles.
