Denio’s vendor arrested for lewd conduct

A vendor at Denio’s was arrested for allegedly trying to touch a teenage boy inappropriately on Oct. 31.

At 3:20 p.m., a 14-year-old boy was looking at shoes from the vendor when the man allegedly offered him alcohol and then touched him inappropriately.

The boy told his dad, who notified police. Officers arrested him in short order.

Luis Jesus Martinez-Avina, 33, of Rio Linda, was arrested on suspicion of lewd or lascivious acts with a child and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

He was being held in the Placer County Jail on $60,000 bail.
