Andy Lukkonen’s Veterans Day cartoon is despicable in its portrayal of Veterans for Peace and the peace dove as belligerents.

It is grossly inaccurate, and the Auburn Journal knows that.

With that said, let me extend a heartfelt “thank you” to all of you who applauded and cheered as we Veterans for Peace passed by you during the Veterans Day parade.

It is encouraging to know that you are out there and that you support what we are about.

We greatly appreciate you who share our vision of a world without war.
