The Colfax High girls basketball team claimed the consolation title at the Oroville Tournament on Saturday with a 49-19 romp over Wheatland.
Senior Audrey Lewis led the balanced Falcons (2-3) with 12 points. Kristi McCallister added eight while Erica Heikila and Lindsay Larson added five each.
Hailey Biles, who earned all-tournament honors, scored 17 to lead Colfax past Corning 50-34 on Friday. April Littlejohn added 11 for the Falcons.
Eureka 58, Placer 40 at Redding — The Hillgals fell short of the consolation championship at the Harlan Carter Tournament.
Senior guard Kayla Reeves led Placer (3-6) with 17 points.
On Friday, senior Kelsey Lardner led a balanced attack with 17 points as Placer topped Anderson 57-37. Amy Clark added 14 and Reeves tossed in 13 for the Hillgals.
Foresthill 46, Greenville 4 at Roseville — Freshman guard Sadie Stroup scored 16 points and junior forward Kaitlin Sly added 10 as the Wildfires improved to 5-0 with a romp at the Valley Christian tournament on Saturday.
Sophomore guard Rylee Hackley contributed eight points and eight rebounds to the victory.
Junior guard Jessica Satterlee’s 3-pointer in the closing seconds helped Foresthill overcame miserable shooting in the first half to beat Valley Christian 47-45 on Friday.
Stroup had a huge night with 18 points and 18 boards. Junior guard Trysta Ferguson scored all 13 of her points in the second half. Ferguson also added nine rebounds, six assists, six steals and two blocks.
Foresthill took second at the tournament. Forest Lake Christian, which was in a different bracket and won on point differential.
Golden Sierra 48, Delta 18 at Garden Valley — Senior shooting guard Claire Dougherty netted 15 points and Kaylee Schrader added 10 on Saturday as the Grizzlies (4-2) won their own Darren Tillotson Memorial Tournament.
Schrader and fellow sophomore forward Daysa Thompson represented Golden Sierra on the all-tournament team.
The Grizzlies also posted tournament wins over Lutheran of Elk Grove on Thursday and North Tahoe on Friday.
