Thumbs down on single payer
Reader Input

Bob McGee, in “Most lack a health care plan” (Reader Input, March 10), states that most Americans want a single payer health care system.

The polls have obviously shown otherwise. Time and time again, his plan and his revised plans have failed to make it past both the House and the Senate. If everyone wanted a single payer system, why didn’t the bill get passed?

And then, the people of Massachusetts, a normally liberal state, voted in Scott Brown as a replacement for the more liberal Sen. Edward Kennedy. If that is not a shout out against universal health care, then I don’t know what is.
