Reader wants details of tattoo shop honors

As a consumer of the Sunday paper, I expect to read the news, with as many details as possible in each and every article to get the most of the reading experience about what has gone on in the previous week.

However, this week, I found that some information was completely lacking in the “business briefs” section.

Yes, I am aware that what is written is intended to be “brief,” however, this was a little too brief.

I was pleasantly pleased to read that a local tattoo shop, Syndicate Tattoo, won two first place and two third place awards at the February Tattoos and Blues Festival.

However, the meat of the article was missing. What were the awards for?

There were a total of four awards that Syndicate earned, but what were the categories? All we got as the reader was the side dish of the article, just saying they won. I truly believe that it is really important to give the news to the people, and that includes the details.

This is not the first time the Journal has fallen short in this category, but I am tired of reading articles with no information.

I would implore the Journal to really consider what is being written, and what the consumer would want when reading the paper.

Just something for the editors to think about.
