Woman claims necklace was hers
Reader Input

I would like to inform all of you that the “heavenly treasure,” the necklace (Journal, March 7), in fact did belong to me, Frances Hare.

It was a gift to me, given by my sister, Joyce Petrocchi, in the early 1980s. I then, in turn, gave it to my granddaughter Sharelle Hare for her 16th birthday.

The necklace was stolen about two years ago along with other items that weren’t important enough to mention, because of the theft being committed by a so-called friend.

As the saying goes “Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord.”

So how the necklace ended up on the window ledge of the church only God knows. Sharelle has given her approval for the church to keep it and hopes that she will be remembered as the donor.

In any event – God knows the truthfulness of this story.

FRANCES HARE, Weimar
