When Anthem Blue Cross was being questioned by the state Assembly Health Committee regarding raising premiums by as much as 39 percent, Ted Gaines R-Roseville, stated “I don’t see a problem with making a profit. I thought that was the American way”

Of course Ted doesn’t need to worry. As a government employee, if his premium goes up, it’s the taxpayers who will pay. Ted also happens to have an insurance agency representing Anthem.
