Neighbor says man was ‘quiet’
Autopsy results pending for body found in Auburn home

As police await autopsy results, one neighbor said a body found in an Auburn home belonged to a “quiet” but nice man.

Mike Taylor, a longtime Mikkelsen Drive resident, said this week that Thomas Conrad was a “nice, quiet guy,” who usually kept to himself.

Conrad’s body was discovered March 12 inside a home on the 800 block of Mikkelsen Drive. Conrad rented a room in the home and had moved in about six to eight months ago, Taylor said.

Taylor said while he didn’t know Conrad well, he knew that he and his roommate got along well.

Taylor was home when he heard sirens come down his street and saw police officer run up to the door of the home.

In a prior report, Auburn Police Sgt. Dale Hutchins said officers initially treated the incident as a potential crime scene after they received a 911 call from a woman who discovered Conrad’s body.

Detective Adam Cline with the Auburn Police Department said Friday that police are still waiting for autopsy results.

“We do not suspect foul play,” Cline said.
