Native poppies litter the hill sides with orange tops mingled in the lush grass along Lake Clementine Trail.

March 20th marked the first day of spring as the warmer weather plans on sticking around for the next several days. The Lake Clementine Trail is a great location for easy hiking and mountain biking with the two-mile stretch starting at the American River Confluence and ending at the spillway of the Lake Clementine Dam. During the journey people will hear rushing rapids, observe vivid wild flowers and find little areas to relax and even swim.
