Re: “City approves $17,000 for wastewater study,” Journal, Aug. 24.

The City of Auburn is spending $17,000 on a wastewater study. That sounds like a lot of money. Auburn is also thinking of putting in a pipeline that will go from Auburn to Lincoln’s wastewater plant.

I think Auburn should do the pipeline idea. It sounds like Lincoln’s wastewater plant is big enough to handle two cities.

The $17,000 is a good start for the project.

I also think the city of Lincoln should charge Auburn a yearly fee for maintenance of our wastewater. I think that will be fair.
