Re: “Brazen bear breaks into Auburn canyon rim home,” (Journal, Aug. 26).

People should not be feeding the bears because they will just keep coming back for more.

Also, people need to be more careful about leaving pets or pet food out where the bears can get it.

When you are not home, you should make sure that the door is shut and the screen is not open.

There are way too many bears that are getting used to being around people and getting food from them.

If they get into your house, that is your fault for feeding them. So you attracted the bears in the first place. People have put their homes in the middle of bear country.
