Q. How long have you worked at Szechuan?

A. I've been here 18 years and I've been the manager here all those years.

Q. Where did you grow up?

A. I was born in Vietnam, but I'm Chinese. I moved to this area in 1993, but I've also lived in New York, Boston and Denver. I learned to cook and worked in really big restaurants in New York and Boston. My family lives in Sacramento, so that's why I came here to live.

Q. What are some of your hobbies?

A. I like to eat, cook, watch TV and relax and drink wine.

Q. What kind of TV do you like?

A. I like to watch sports. I like football and basketball. I like to watch funny movies and I like to watch any news — Asian or American. We work long hours in the restaurant, so we don't know what's going on so it's good to watch the news.

Q. What kind of music do you like?

A. I like Asian, American, disco and romantic. I don't have a favorite band or song, I just like it all.

Q. What's your favorite dish on the menu?

A. I like it all because I make it all. I make the sauces and put everything together.

Q. What is one of your future goals?

A. My goal would be to bring more people to the restaurant. I want them to like my food. I also want to travel. I'd like to travel everywhere.

Q. Where is one of your favorite places to travel?

A. I like Miami. It's fun, crowded and good for a young person.

Q. What is something unique about you?

A. I speak two dialects of Chinese, Vietnamese, English and a little bit of Spanish.

Q. What is something you are proud of?

A. I'm proud of working at the restaurant. The customers are really friendly. They know me and they tell me if my food has any problems.
