Annexation a way to be free from developers

The people of Penryn sure have my sympathy in their failure to win with the supervisors against a developer. My own community of Meadow Vista has been there twice in recent memory, once with Winchester and now with an asphalt plant.

There really is just one solution left for Penrynites: annex to Loomis. Then you, like the people of Loomis, will have the countryside and town stay pretty enough to renew your souls, land values will go way up, the smaller number of people who do move in will be the cream of the crop, and you will have the best schools, lowest crime, best sports teams and best academic opportunities for your children. You’ll be able to walk out the door, look around, and say, “God, this is nice.”

Developers have a stranglehold on Placer County government. County staff are running, ducking, bowing and scraping to make Bruce Kranz happy and preserve their jobs, and supervisors who go against developers are targeted for defeat with hugely expensive campaigns that make lies look true, sky look green, and John the Baptist look like a groper. Placer County government is in the clutches of Bruce Kranz, who never saw a development he didn’t like.

Annex to Loomis, people of Penryn. It is the only way you can defend yourself against the Kranz gang destroying the reason you live here.
