Northern Californians enjoyed the benefits of a tropical island without leaving Auburn! . . . For five nights in June, a free supper was followed by a Tropical, Multi-Media Adventure for all ages from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Outrigger Island Vacation Bible School was set in a tropical paradise at Bell Road Baptist Church, where children, youth and adults learned to Know, Speak and Live God's truth, based on Psalm 86:11 - "Teach me Your way Lord, and I will live by Your truth".

This tropical adventure helped participants develop the stability they need to become unshakeable in a world of shifting sands.

'Friendly Competition' between the Boys and the Girls raised awareness and support for two missionaries who grew up at Bell Road.

Zack is a short-term missionary with an Evangelical Media Mission. He travels around the world doing cool stuff that cannot be dicussed on the Internet (due to Security reasons).

Alisha is an elementary school teacher at Rancho Sordo Mudo (a deaf school in Mexico). Alisha is Zack's older sister.

The Winners of this Friendly Competition determined the color of hair to be sported by VBS Director, Robin Willette, in the days following VBS.

Due to a similar battle last year, Pastor Rob Patterson had the challenge of walking around Auburn with hot-pink hair for the month following VBS, 2007.

Pastor Rob remarks, "Outrigger Island is definitely a VBS that will be remembered for years to come. I'm amazed at the number of Leaders and Helpers who are sharing in this cross-generational service to the community. A great number of volunteers has enabled this VBS to effectively reach out to every age group: Babies, Pre-school, K-6, Grades 7-12, College Staff, and Adults."
