The public is invited to a fire information meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in Foresthill.

U.S. Forest Service officials will provide an update on the American River Complex fire that has charred more than 19,300 acres roughly 13 miles east of Foresthill.

The meeting will be held in the science room at the Foresthill Divide Middle School located at 22888 Foresthill Road.

A meeting will also be held at 7 p.m. at the Community Center in Alta Friday.
