Barrack Obama - Whiffs a pitch from a 7 year old girl
Posted by: Rational_Thinker
A Truly Pathetic Response you MUST hear for yourself

Today, during a campaign stop, a 7 year old girl asked Barrack Obama why he was running for President.

His answer?

“America is …, uh, is no longer, uh … what it could be, what it once was. And I say to myself, I don’t want that future for my children.”

Wow.

Almost frighteningly imbecilic in nature, you have to wonder what he would say if asked how to solve a major crisis.

Stumbling. Bumbling. Without a script, he comes up with an answer that was not "America is great and I want to make it greater"...but rather, the above.

Am I making this up? See the video at http://hotair.com/archives/2008/08/07/obama-america-is-no-longer-what-it-once-was/

No wonder Bill and Hillary are not throwing in the towel yet. They think this guy is one off-the-cuff answer away from blowing it big time.

On the same day, John McCain went to Marshall University and addressed their football team. Marshall was the school that tragically lost their entire football team and yet regained their composure to return to the field. He discussed the loyalty of a fellow prisoner in Vietnam who sewed a US flag to the inside of his shirt, only to be beaten when it was discovered, and then sewed a new one. A hugely inspirational speech.

Lets face it, as much as McCain has some warts, he is at least 4-5 times more qualified to hold the office of president than Obama. I hate to say it because I really do not like McCain because he is too willing to compromise with the Democrats, and too willing to allow illegals into our country, but Obama is demonstrating a total incapacity to even answer a 7 year old.

Go to the link, check out the video.

Every time Obama gets in front of a camera without a teleprompter, he demonstrates that he is a vapid, empty shell who has been promoted to the nomination for reasons waaaaaay beyond his qualifications.

RT, I agree with you. What makes you think Dr. Dobson changes his position? It is because the alternative of McCain is much worse. Obama's comments to the 7 years old girl reminds me about his wife's statement (it is the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country). I feel sorry for the 7 years old. She shouldn't heard comments like that. And, remember Obama's associates? The most recent one is Mazen Ashabi (Obama's Arab and Muslim liaison). He just resigned after serving about 9 days when the link to the radical imam became public. What I wish you and the rest of the people to do is to unite together for McCain. It means let's stop voicing your disagreement about McCain. You just help Obama if you voice your criticism about McCain. Just like you, there are things about McCain that I don't like, the same reason why Dr.Dobson opposes endorsing him at the beginning (before changing his position). But, like you said, the alternative is much worse of a choice.

Wiffs a pitch? I guess telling people the truth these days doesn't fly anymore. Try getting out of your country... err wait, county even... for a few weeks, and you might begin to understand the situation this country is in.

Speaking of this country's situation, it cracks me up that it took the general public (well the mass media really, no one actually has a thought of their own anymore) more than a year to admit that there is a "recession" in this country. Look forward to a continued drop in the value of our curreny and homes, it's not getting better any time soon.

P.S. If you do plan on taking that vacation, better sooner than later, while your green back still buys a few francs, marks, yen, etc...

Bunger: You actually want to defend his remarks?

Fine. It does not surprise me that someone would because I interact with the extremely anti-American left daily on this blog. But the AMERICAN PEOPLE disagree with you.

This is why the media hides such things. They know that his popularity, which is being held in life-support as we speak, would flat-line if the average American saw this video.

Obama rose quickly and flattened out before the Democrat primaries were done. He lost virtually all primaries since February, but managed to survive that process. He got a small bump after winning the primary, but is essentially tied with McCain despite the fact that McCain has many like me, in his own party, who cannot stand him.

Obama is loved by the left, but that is not going to win the general election. He has to appeal to the general American public. Telling them that he is ashamed of his country is not the path to success.

Telling little girls that their country is lost, when in fact, its still the greatest country in the world, WOULD kill his campaign if the media did not hush it up.

our country is deteriorating though. I love what America could be, but what makes it a great country is eroding, and what it could be and what it truly has become are two different things. I think McCain should be willing to compromise, I don't understand why you want to deny the other half of this country representation by whomever is in office. Unity is a good thing, no one should completely get their way, because both parties have something to positive to offer.

kittyv; When you are looking for a leader, do you want someone who can only see the negative?

I would prefer someone who sees both, emphasizes the positive, and drives positive change.

Obama is a negative person. Every time he gets off a teleprompter, he shows this. He has spent 20 years viewing America as a racist, homophobic, thuggish, over-consuming, brute of a nation.

Jeremiah Wright said out loud what Obama thinks and when it became public, Wright was shipped to the back of the bus and out of sight.

I realize that there are people who agree with them on this perspective, however, those people are a fringe minority. Most Americans are proud to be Americans, think we have done the world a huge favor many times, think that we are leaders in freedom and democracy, and believe that this nation is a shining city on the hill for the rest of the world.

This video emphasizes just how far away from the mainstream Obama is.

In addition, Obama is indeed an elitist.

His comment about people properly pressurizing their tires shows more about his disdain for the average American (too stupid to air their tires) than any insight into energy independence.

A comprehensive energy policy that includes ALL options would be the way to lead our nation.

McCain is not just talking about drilling, he is also talking about conservation, alternative sources, green energy, etc.

Obama is stuck with the "We can't drill our way out of this problem" mantra of Pelosi and the extreme liberal fringe who cannot allow drilling without losing big donations from the environmental radicals who are significantly funded by non-American sources that want to level the international economy by cutting our economic production.

Rat_Scum: You are a disgusting racist. You hate Barrack because he is black. Just like all of you other white, republican, male, christians who own the republican party. You people disgust me. Barrack is handsome, intelligent, witty, experienced, and has a totally clean record of service to our country. He served his community as a volunteer and served the people of Chicago before he went into the Senate 3 years ago. He is going to give us free health care, mass transit, clean the environment, and get rid of corporate thieves. He will nationalize the oil companies and then we will be making those profits instead of a bunch of billionaires. He will bring back the inheritance tax, raise capital gains, and return America to a country where everybody is taken care of no matter what their race, gender preference, or national origin is.

Yes Virginia, aka placer_democrat, there is a Santa Claus and within 8 years there will be free health care, mass transit, clean air and the corporate thieves will all be exalted members of the Obama , non flag saluting, New “Change” Socialistic Party. Snow White and the Seven Dorks will deliver your welfare checks, monthly supply of prosaic, food stamps, gas stamps, and cell phone stamps to sustain your worthy existence that the entrepreneur’s of America do not deserve to retain from their hard work, sacrifices and creativity. I never really thought of Obama as being black until today….. thanks for throwing that into my face; you are such a great ambassador for the 'demon'cratic party. Do I want a 3 year Senator, whose greatest experiences lie in his resume of “volunteerisms” as the leader of my Country?? “He will bring back the inheritance tax, raise capital gains, and return America to a country where everybody is taken care of no matter what their race, gender preference, or national origin is”……… this statement suggests your current environment and lifestyle may qualify your use of the term “Rat_Scum”.

R_T - No, I don't want a leader who only sees the negative. At the same time, I don't want a leader who glosses over it and pretends all is well when it isn't. I don't see a leader in McCain, whom once upon a time stood up to his party, and now bows before them, because that resolve has been lost to the desire to be elected. I didn't always agree with him, but I respected his willingness to do that. Now I see a man doing as he is told. That's dangerous to me. I believe Obama has the desire to do the right thing, I don't think his motivation is strictly power. That being said, he too has reversed himself on issues, and I'm very concerned about corporation influence. The desire to do the right thing and the resolve to do so, they don't always come hand in hand.

When you say most people are proud to be Americans, it's true. But there is a lot to be ashamed of too, to deny that is foolhardy because it guarantees that those shameful acts will repeat themselves or will continue to happen. To say that Obama should not be allowed to lead because of the fact that he has had a life experience different from what you as a white male have had does not sound like the American way to me. I sense a lot of disdain (not necessarily from you, from other posters) for the common man, the wealthy don't recognize part of their wealth was earned on the backs of these men and women. In their greed, they want to provide as little as possible for them, no health care, substandard working conditions, a big middle finger to their impact on the environment, and we and our loved ones suffer the consequences. Then, they want to ship these jobs overseas, exploit the most desperate of people and provide even less, take advantage of the environment there with no regard for it's impact. Yet, they get all the breaks, and I have to pay for them. To look at our past and current actions overseas, certainly there are moments of pride, but let's not be arrogant because of them. There are so many examples of shameful actions, we are creating our own enemies by the thousandfold world wide. And every time, the motivation for these actions is greed and a thirst for dominance. This is opitimized currently by a powerful group of neocons in your party. I don't expect everything to magically get better with a Democrat in office, I have concerns, but I KNOW it will continue to get worse, and with no relief for the poor and the working poor, if we continue the last eight years. That is what McCain has promised, and that is what I will not accept.

The Obama "elitist" smear has no legs at all. Especially when you compare Obama's background to that of J. Seymour McCain.

Obama was a skinny mulatto kid raised by a single mother from age 6. He entered a private school at age ten only because he got a scholarship.

John Seymour McCain was born into a family oozing wealth and privilege. As expected, he attended the exclusive St. Stephen’s School, a pricey prep school in Alexandria, Virginia, and then went to Episcopal High, a private boarding school. J. Seymour McCain was the son and grandson of military elitists; two four-star Navy admirals (who had a destroyer named for them). Naturally, he entered the US Naval Academy where he finished near the bottom of his graduating class.

After Vietnam, McCain returned home and dumped his crippled wife an abandoned his 3 children to marry a much younger woman, a wealthy heiress. McCain used her family's money to get himself elected to the House as an anti-abortion, "pro-family" candidate.

There's plenty more. Are you sure you still want to go there?

Placer_democrat

what you are describing in your post is a Communist revolution. You cannot be for real, you are a rabid Republican trying to turn people against Obama. Look, we know he's an empty suit, someone that has a problem thinking on his feet, no teleprompter+ screw ups.

Please he doesn't need help like yours, all he has to do to lose votes are speak without a script, let his wife speak and of course his Pastor. Hey, even Jesse Jackson can play the race card better than you.

Anyway, thanks for the good laugh and in the event that you are for real when is your pass up, what mental hospital are you in so I can send you some candy.

Read the posts folks. Look which side uses the insults and intransigence (kittyv being the exception) she has her beliefs and tells us why she feels the way she does. That my friends is the way to debate, resorting to name calling is rather childish and ineffective as a convincing tool.

One more thing just occurred to me. Barack is as much Black as he is white so why settle for just one race?
