Living Large at Courthouse Coffee
Mic Martin Loyce's guest on AM 950 MUSIC CONNECTION was not able to make it today, but she had on another musician Mike Nichols on her program. He plays the harmonica. A very lively guy indeed. I wanted to thank Loyce very much for providing Linda and me the opportunity to call in and chat a bit on her program.
Linda Lareau called in and talked about Courthouse Coffee and how it is still busy despite the rennovation of the Historic Courthouse. It is slated to open up next month. She also called in again and told everyone just how much she enjoyed the music on the program today.
Next caller was myself. Talked with Loyce and Mike about my sister who is on the USNS Mercy Ship on a Humanitarian Deployment. Sara is a family medicine doctor in the US Navy and is stationed out of Bremerton, WA. Currently, she is still in Guam waiting for a military flight back to Washington. Also talked about my organization Placer Independent Resource Services: Casino Night coming up on October 25th at St. Teresa of Avila Church 11666 Atwood Rd. Auburn. It is from 7pm-10pm and there will be beer and wine, live dj, blackjack, craps, roulette. Costumes are encouraged and tickets are 45.00. Please Buy Tickets they are going fast! Call 530-885-6100 for more information. All proceeds go towards our scholarship funds for high school students with disabilities who are ready to enter college.
I play every Thursday night at the Songwriters Showcase at the Club Car in Auburn. Talked a little bit about music as well. Certainly am a go-getter. Just go with the flow, get stuff done.
Lastly the guests at today's round table: Linda Lareau, Owner of Courthouse Coffee, Christian, Jack Loyce's Husband, Loyce and myself.
We all had a great time, chatted about musical instruments and other fun stuff. Be sure to tune in next week for more fun and good times.
