Saturday, October 4, the Del Oro Jr. Midgets continued their undefeated season, six wins and zero losses, with a shutout against the Granite Bay Jr. Grizzlies.

Behind Del Oro’s dominating offensive and defensive lines were seven touchdowns. First quarter, Dylan Kainrath ran the ball into the end zone for a TD. Kameron Bair scored next with a run and Brenden Montoya kicked the PAT. Second quarter, Jahaan Nargussi scored a TD and Therin Heryford ran in the extra point. With 2:31 left in the first half Dylan Kainrath ran for a TD and Brenden Montoya kicked the PAT. Third quarter, Dylan Kainrath, while playing linebacker, stripped the ball and ran for a 60 yard TD. With four minutes left in the third quarter Dylan Kainrath’s interception and 65 yard run led to his fourth TD. Blake Stahl kicked the PAT. In the fourth quarter Therin Heryford ran the ball for the final Del Oro TD and Blake Stahl kicked the fourth PAT.
