Leanna Callahan and Mark Thibault, both of Colfax, were married July 6, 2008 at Newcastle Wedding Gardens. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Jack Callahan.

She graduated from Placer High School, California State University, Sacramento and National University and was employed as a seventh-grade teacher at Colfax Elementary and as a DJ at STAR 94.1 FM in Grass Valley.

Her parents are Jack Callahan of Fernley, Nev. and the Linda Callahan, deceased.

The groom spent the last 20 years as a local chef. He is now employed as an OTR driver for KLLM Transport.

His parents are Duane Thibault of Esparto and Vicky Thibault, deceased.

The bride’s honor attendant was her sister, Amy Sorensen, of Rocklin.

Bridesmaid was her daughter, Victoria Gettys of Sacramento.

Flower girl was her granddaughter, Lillian Gettys of Sacramento.

Best man was the groom’s brother, Michael Thibault, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Groomsman was Aaron Gettys, the groom’s son-in-law, of Sacramento.

A reception was held at the Newcastle Wedding Gardens.

The couple honeymooned in the islands of Maui and Hawaii and now resides in Fernley, Nev.
