Connecticut's Supreme Court recently followed the lead of the CSC and overturned the will of their people insisting that homosexuals can marry.

The people of Connecticut are also looking at a constitutional amendment to block the courts from making laws.

Many other states have already written in amendments to stop the homosexual agenda.

They want to teach our children that homosexuality is normal because they want more potential candidates when these children grow up. They do not like the odds today.

In a room with 100 people, each man has a potential of 47 women to choose from, and vice versa. For homosexuals, they only have 1 or 2 or perhaps 3 possible mates. So, they want to "up the odds" by indoctrinating our children.

Not too long ago my 10 year old asked me what gay really meant. I explained that it's two men or two women who like eachother and want to be married like his dad and I. We explained that these people are different than us but that it's ok. Just like he has blonde hair and blue eyes and his friend Billy has brown hair and brown eyes. Different but equal. That was the end of it, and my son still likes girls.

Two families out of 20 opted to not have thier kids attend. Charter schools don't have to follow all the rules regular schools do, by the way.

The "activist" judges took a very difficult (and correct) position - protecting a right which had been withheld from a minority.

Analyst, you comment is exactly why I am for Prop 8. The word "gay" had a simple meaning and then it was changed to describe sexual behavior (I noticed you didn't explain that to your 10 year old - good move). I know how marriage is defined and so do you.

Coin a new word or words and define it as a legal term that 2 and only 2 people of the same sex can use to describe their relationship. Redefining marriage can open up a real can of worms just like what happened to "gay".

It's not all about sex, there are many heterosexual marriages where there's nothing going on after dark and I would suspect the same goes for gay/lesbian marriages.

What is the can of worms? Employers having to insure partners? Tax breaks? because if you are implying the old argument that pedophiles and multiple marriages will become common place, that's not gong to happen. Those behaviors are illegal, homosexuality is not.

Quite frankly, Rational_Thinker, I don't give a da*n whether he's straight or gay. But the idea that he's a closet case is so absurd that it caused me great laughter pain for about five minutes after I read this absurd editorial. I'm still laughing.

Let us be clear that the above story is filled with falsehoods. The teacher didn't take kids to a gay marriage. The teacher was getting married. And parents went to the school and asked that their kids be allowed to surprise the teacher outside city hall. The 18 students who went to stand outside City Hall to greet their teacher all did so with parental permission. The Prop 8 people are falsifying facts by making it sound as if the school did it when it was the parents of the children.

Do parents have the right to teach their values to their children or not? In this case the parents were doing just that and the Prop 8 crowd is screaming. By they way there were some parents who didn't want their kids to go so those kids didn't go. This wasn't school indoctrination but parents making choices for their own children. Why can't the antigay crowd tell the truth? Why do they have to resort to lies to push their agenda?

They resort to lies because the truth doesn't support their Religious agenda. What they want is the law to reflect their own religious beliefs and that is unAmerican.

Why are 6 year olds being taken to a homosexual wedding? Are 6 year olds being taken to heterosexual weddings? No. Nobody finds it necessary to take a class full of kids to see their teacher wed, except where the teacher is marrying another lesbian.

I do not think that our locally run schools, with locally elected school boards would approve that field trip. Apparently, this one instance was approved by the locally run charter school administration and board. I think you are delighted that it happened so that you could use it to frighten the same people that think Christmas has been outlawed.

Most gay people call it gay marriage not same-sex marriage. Even so, same-sex marriage is not a dishonest label unless you think people are so utterly stupid as to not understand the term. Apparently your contempt for the voters is exceeded only by your contempt for gay people.

Let us look at the history of gay marriage in California. It was passed by the legislature at least twice. It was a Republican governor who vetoed it demanding a court ruling first. Of course, in other states conservatives demand the legislature pass it. Here the legislature did pass it and the conservative governor demanded a court ruling. Now he got it and says he's fine with the idea. In other word all three branches of government in California have now said they are fine with gay marriage. How is that dishonest and sneaky ?

Next, who took the kids to city hall? The parents! Are you denying that parents have the right to teach values to their own children. Are you against parental authority and demanding that the state stop such things? I've been to many weddings and I think all of them had children of that age at them.

If the parents want to take their children to city hall (they didn't go to the wedding as you keep claiming) to greet their teach that is the decision they get to make. You have no authority telling other people how to raise their children. What are you? Antifamily?
