Gold Country Writers meetings are held every Wednesday of the month. Third Wednesdays: guest speaker presentation. First Wednesdays: business meeting. Second and Fourth Wednesdays: "Drop-in Critique" for members to get feedback on their work. For months with Fifth Wednesdays: social event. (Note changes to January schedule--listed below--due to holiday.) Meetings are free and open to the public. (At Bethlehem Lutheran Church, unless otherwise noted below.)

-January 16, 2019 with Chery Anderson, producer of "Open Mic for the Spoken Word" in Auburn, a featured presenter at -- and instrumental in planning -- the Auburn Winter Storytelling Fest, on "Tell Me a Story: tips and techniques for telling entertaining and informative stories to grown-ups."

-February 20, 2019 with Doug Fortier, award-winning writer of short stories and published in anthologies, on "How To Make a Critique Group Work For You."

-March 20, 2019 with Donna Levin, author of several novels, including He Could Be Another Bill Gates; and craft of writing books, Get That Novel Started! and Get That Novel Written!, on "Shaking Off the Mid-Novel Blues."
