The Hillmen defeated the Center Cougars 15-14 in a winner-take-all PVL championship game. Placer coach Joey Montoya, hold his hat, had a good birthday. Center's D'Juan Bellaire, with ball, gave the Hillmen defense some trouble in the first half, but Placer stuffed him in the second half. Placer scored both of its touchdowns on the ground Friday night in winning the PVL championship. Isaac Brahce, with ball, scored one and Todd Valliere had the other.
