Crime In Your Community: $8K striper theft in Auburn; Home Depot tool heist; More

June 6

Kelsey Frances Allen, 24, a transient was arrested on suspicion of theft of a $20 pair of shoes from Payless Shoe Source, 2775 Bell Road in North Auburn.

June 5

Power tools worth an estimated $1,000 were stolen from Home Depot in North Auburn. Two males, both about 25, are believed to be responsible for the theft. The two left in a blue Mazda hatchback.

A parole hold was placed on Paul Stephen Johnson, 46, of Applegate in the 100-block Meadow Gate Road area of Applegate on suspicion of being a felon in possession of ammunition.

A striping machine valued at $8,000 was reported stolen while it was parked overnight in the Target parking lot in North Auburn.

June 4

Nicole Marie Young, 25, of Roseville was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and obstructing a peace officer. The arrest took place at Ponderosa Way and Hinchey Lane in Colfax.

Matthew David Rubalcaba was arrested on suspicion of possession of lost or stolen property. The arrest was made in the 1600-block Grass Valley Highway following a search that turned up a walet, tools and a purse.

A mountain bike valued at an estimated $800 was stolen from an open garage in the 4600-block of Cattalo Way in Roseville.

June 3

Philip Robert Labar, 31, of Granite Bay was arrested after a probation search on suspicion of possession of burglary tools. The arrest took place in the 4000-block of unincorporated Roseville’s Douglas Boulevard. The search turned up two key rings with 12 shaved keys for various makes of vehicles.

June 2

Connor David Hand, 24, a transient was arrested near Dry Creek Road and Jerry Lane in North Auburn on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. Also arrested during the same traffic stop was Samantha Kyleigh Bowling, 20, a transient on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A trailer parked in the 3900-block Progress Drive area of Roseville was broken into and $1,000 worth of property stolen.
