DeOllos sworn in as Penryn postmasterBy: Submitted to the Journal
Elizabeth Kennedy DeOllos raised her right hand to take the official oath of office as the new Penryn Postmaster at a noon ceremony Friday at the Penryn Post Office, 2205 Rippey Road. Post Office Operations Manager Cheri Valdivia administered the official oath of office.
DeOllos began her U.S. Postal Service career in 2002 as a casual employee in Marysville. In 2013, she began her management career supervising clerks and mail handlers in West Sacramento. In 2014, she worked in Roseville overseeing three retail offices.
“I am extremely proud to be chosen as the new Postmaster for Penryn,” DeOllos said. “I have always wanted to become postmaster of an office that is an integral part of the community, Penryn is just such a community. I aim to serve the Penryn community by providing them with stellar customer service by means of my expertly trained team of dedicated employees.”
DeOllos is married and she and her husband Chris have daughters, Kathryne, 25, AnnaMarie, 19, and son, Christian, 13. Her mother is Mary Kennedy and her father is Marvin Kennedy. Her sister is Vicky Liggett.
DeOllos loves to spend time with her family and friends. In addition, she enjoys barbecues, camping, game nights, baking and crafting.
As Penryn Postmaster, DeOllos oversees two rural delivery routes, with nearly 2,000 pieces of daily mail volume. In addition, Penryn services over 900 daily Post Office box deliveries. DeOllos manages six employees.
