Using all his strength Julio Cavallini slips a cable over a post helping to support the football field sized big top tent for the Carson and Barnes Circus at the Gold Country Fairgrounds. Mickala Brown, 7, and Jayden Duncan, 5, get a sneak preview of the petting zoo as they feed the goats. Workers use steel poles to help keep the big top tent up during the shows. Acts under the big top consist of, aerial trapeze, high wire, motorcycle acrobatic teams, jugglers and clowns along with performing elephants, camels, dogs and horses. Three elephants will be part of the performance with dogs, horses and camels. They will also be available for kids to ride.
