Mandarins still produce on the trees, even after going through a third picking. Mandarin Hill Orchard prepares 6 tons of the citrus daily. Tom Aguilar spends most of the days helping customers pack mandarins. Owner of Mandarin Hill Orchards in Penryn, Tom Aguilar, inspects his crop Thursday afternoon. Owner of Mandarin Hill Orchards in Penryn, Tom Aguilar, takes a walk through the 20 acre orchard checking his mandarins. Inside the packing room, mandarins are sorted and boxed ready to be sold. Tom Aguilar gets involved by packing mandarins. Jim Karpowicz spends most of the day at quality control throwing out any mandarins which may have cuts or punctures in the skin. After mandarins are brought in from the orchard they go through a sizing machine to assure consistency.
