Colfax residents Ken and Missy Kitlas have had a boat slip at Rollins Lake since 2000. The couple said they are happy to see law enforcement presence on the lake to keep traffic under control. The rules stating the speed limit and direction boaters are supposed to drive on Rollins Lake are posted at each of the four docks on the lake, including this one at Long Ravine boat ramp. At times, law enforcement has reported signs being ripped down. Boaters have been tickets for violating no wake zone areas of Rollins Lake, according to Philip Easley, deputy sheriff assigned to marine patrol for the Nevada County Sheriff?s Department.
