HEART stands for Health Education Africa Recource Team. The group is involved in HIV/AIDS and other disease prevention and education in Kenya. Dr. Neil Flynn (L)talks with Rita Patel,MD. Flynn is one of HEART's medical directors and a veteran of 14 trips to Kenya with HEART. Patel is an internal medicine resident. Warren "Buck" Buckingham had just returned from Kenya to speak at HEART's ten year anniversary celebration, and praised emotionally their ongoing work in Kenya. Buckingham is a current member of the Senior Management Team, US Global AIDS, in Washington D.C. HEART founder Vickie Winkler spoke about the organizations work in Kenya. Special guest speaker and HEART staff member in Kenya Isaac Mzee made the long journey to Auburn to speak about the work HEART is doing in Kenya.
