Andrew DiLuccia

Andrew DiLuccia came to the Auburn Journal in June of 2002 from within Gold Country Media, where he was the sports editor of two weeklies, the Placer Herald in Rocklin and the Lincoln News Messenger.



During his time at the Journal, Andrew has been the assistant sports editor and the Real Estate and Motoring Editor. In late 2011 the Journal promoted Andrew to the position of City/Multimedia Editor. In his current role, he helps produce the Journal and assists in managing the editorial department. The Sacramento State graduate also manages the Journal’s online content, from web updates and stories, to videos and management of the paper’s social media websites. 



Andrew got his start in journalism writing for The Sacramento Bee while attending college, where he majored in Media Communications. He then went on to write at Student Sports, a national high school sports magazine, and Fox Sports.



When not covering the news, Andrew enjoys getting out for a game of golf, watching Sacramento State line up on the gridiron, read, play with his bear of a dog, Kodah, and travel.
