“One More Saturday Night,” a song well known by fans of the Grateful Dead, and a good way to start off a story about this Saturday’s concert and celebration at Auburn’s Odd Fellows Lodge. While it may be “one more” it is also the only Saturday that the band Bear Tread will be playing on the West Coast, as Keep Smilin’ Promotions kicks off their 2018 Fall / Winter Season.

Bear Tread will be taking over the Odd Fellows Lodge for a very special evening of music of and inspired by the Grateful Dead.

Bear Tread is a new collaboration, of some very well- known musicians, including on lead guitar and vocals Dave “A’Bear” Hebert, long-time guitarist and vocalist for Melvin Seals and JGB. Keyboards will feature Northern California’s favorite, Scott Guberman, alumnus and player for the likes of Phil Lesh and Friends. On bass and vocals from the North East is Greg Koerner, who has played with Dark Star Orchestra, and lead member of Tread Gently, long time band for Grateful Dead keyboardist Vince Wellnick, this core trio will be joined by what we are told will be some “very special guests” to round out the band.

The historic Auburn Odd Fellows Lodge is over 120 years old is located at the intersection of Highway 49 and old Lincoln Highway (aka Lincoln Way). The “Fellows” (as well as some wonderful ladies) will be running the bars and kitchen, serving up craft beer, cocktails and some options to munch on. Organizers remind all that this show is an over 21 event, so be sure to bring your ID.
