100+ Women Who Care Placer County has collectively given $28,680 to charities in Placer County since their inception in February. Currently, there are 123 members.
“This is an extraordinary group of women who make an immediate, direct, and positive impact on Placer County,” a news release said.
The group gets together periodically and chooses one nonprofit of three finalists to receive a donation. Each member of the 100+ Women give $100 for the donation.
The ALS Association recently received a collective donation of $10,525 from 100+ Women Who Care Placer County.
Those interested in joining, the group’s next meeting is 6-7:30 p.m. Nov. 8. at Randy Peter’s Catering on 105 Vernon St., Roseville.
