Acreage poses real fire threat

I wrote this very same email last year! We all have found out how little it takes to start a fire, one spark or thoughtless act. The memories of the 49 Fire are still with me, even though I was not affected personally. Some people lost everything and had no renter’s insurance. I see the same scenario could happen with the large acreage of tall, dry weeds in front of Terracina Oaks apartments, behind Best Buy. The acreage probably belongs to an out-of-town owner/owners, who are totally mindless or lack the knowledge about the condition and growth on the land. They simply need to plan every year that they own this property, that the weeds need to be whacked in mid or late summer! Duh! Could this be about spending money? Liz Howard, Auburn
