Bear River soccer tops Placer in PVL battle

The Bear River High girls soccer team improved to 3-1 in the Pioneer Valley League with a 3-1 win over rival Placer at home Thursday afternoon.
Sophomore Maddi Dunn scored two goals while senior Janelle Jensen had one goal and one assist for the Bruins. Sarah Holderman picked up the win at goalkeeper.
Placer fell to 1-2 in the PVL.
Colfax 2, Center 0 at Antelope — The Falcons remained unbeaten in the PVL with another shutout – their 11th of the season.
Amy Blackburn gave Colfax the lead with a goal just before halftime. Iona Lofrano added a goal in the second half to put the game away.
Colfax will be back in action April 10, hosting Bear River.
Forest Lake 4, Sacramento Waldorf 0
at Sacramento — The Falcons got a hat trick from sophomore Morgan Koch and improved to 4-0 in the Central Valley California League with a road win.
Marissa Peterson added a goal for Forest Lake (4-5-1 overall). Aliyah Agah, Chloe Bagley, Kylie Edmondson and Koch had assists. Seleste Miranda had the shutout in goal.
