Behind the Signature: Roger Perkins

A visit with the Journal’s frequent letter contributors. Roger Perkins Lives in: Despite sojourns in Foresthill and Roseville, Perkins considers himself a “52-year Auburn resident.” His family includes wife Sally, a son living in Rocklin and two grandsons. Career: Retired insurance investigator. “The last work I did was for attorney Bill Lipschultz.” Writing to the Journal: “It’s hard to say, but when I see things I disagree with, I want to get things straightened out.” Does for fun: Perkins has served as chorus director of the Sierranadors barbershop singing group for 27 years. He usually sings baritone or bass. “We meet at the senior center every Tuesday evening. We have a cabaret show coming up Oct. 21-22 at the Mount Vernon Grange Hall.
