-A +A

The Auburn Host Lions  Club has awarded a $2,500 donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Auburn to sponsor the ongoing programs offered by the club to the youth of Auburn.

“We recognize that the Boys & Girls Club of Auburn does continual good work and provides great services to the youth of Auburn,” said Larry Klink, Lions publicity chair. “We particularly like the idea that our contribution will help keep costs to the club members affordable.”

“We like the idea of our contribution also helping to provide summer camp snacks and supplies,” said Al Dumm, past president.

Auburn Host Lions make contributions to civic groups and individuals each year through the Dan Higgins Award Program to support nonprofits in the community.

“The Lions have been a strong partner of the club,” said Randy Tooker, Boys & Girls Club CEO. “We are grateful for the ongoing support they’ve invested in the kids over the years.”

The Boys & Girls Club of Auburn serves hundreds of club members each day at three community sites. Youth development programs are offered to help kids learn and grow, making good life choices.
