A more in-depth discussion of the city’s higher than expected legal costs and approval of several pending projects are two items slated for Monday night’s Auburn City Council Meeting. Mayor Keith Nesbitt said legal fees were the only expense category of the city’s that exceed its budget. “That department’s budget is a little over. We are just going to have a discussion about them and see if we can figure out why and where the extra legal fees are being devoted. We felt like it was a discussion we should have in public.” The council is also scheduled to authorize a change order and notice of completion for a recently purchased infrared camera for the city corporation yard. The design of two new signs, one a monument to Colonel “Bud” Anderson and another proclaiming “In God We Trust” to hang in the council chambers, will also be voted on. The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. at the Auburn City Hall in the council chambers. Reach Sara Seyydin at
