I was very interested to read Helen Lord’s letter (“Town home to good people,” July 20) regarding the man who helped her carry her grocery bags and find her car outside of Save-Mart. The man’s name is Josh Cornell and he is a general contractor who has lived in this area all of his life.
In 1960 I sang in a barbershop quartet with his grandfather, Jack Hutchinson. Jack died three years ago. My wife and I went to the memorial service and happened to meet Josh, who is his grandson.
When I learned he was a general contractor I hired him to do some work on our home which included putting on a new roof. He did a great job and the price was right. He is a fine young family man and I am happy to have him and his wife, Michaela, as our new friends.
Helen, you were lucky to meet him, and your letter confirms our feelings about Josh.
