Auburn Daisy Troop No. 1592 performed some much-needed community service at the Bowman Charter School Community Garden. After taking summer garden camp at the school, Daisies Angie Williamson and Carli Baker realized that the school garden was in need of serious help. The girls spent four hours pulling weeds, laying newspaper for weed control and raking mulch in the walkways. Parents and grandmas supervised and helped out in the garden. Auburn Tree Pros generously donated a truck of mulch that was used in the clean-up. At the end of the day, the garden was weed free and beautiful. The troop is planning to go back to maintain the garden so that is will be beautiful when school starts.
