Where is the ACLU? Why aren’t they fighting an act that is clearly discriminatory? If a student comes into this state from any other state in the union, they must pay out-of-state tuition unless they live here for one year, are totally self-supporting, and can prove that they have been self-supporting for three years prior to coming here. A student can enter the country illegally, with parents who may never pay a dime in taxes, and get preferential admission to college and financial aid. Yes, this is a dream act. It is the dream of those who want turn this into a one-party state and know that such acts will get the politicians who support these acts reelected. I once supported any tax or bond issue that would benefit schools but never again! Cleona Duncan, Newcastle
