Ever offer a hand up?

Allen Cassidy, you crack me up. I read your letter that was printed Jan. 5 in the Auburn Journal. Did you ever offer a homeless guy a job? Did you ever offer a homeless guy to sleep in your spare bedroom? How about him coming home with you for lunch? My son asked a guy that was holding a “Work for Food” sign if he would help him for about half an hour as he was working on his truck and needed an extra set of hands. My son said, “I’ll give you $20.” The homeless guy said, “I can make more than that standing here.” What I don’t like is them begging in front of the Target store. I was homeless for a few days in the early ’60s and I didn’t like it, so I got a job. Knight Wagner, Colfax
