The Forest Lake Christian soccer team gave Vacaville Christian a spirited run Thursday before falling in the first round of the Sac-Joaquin Section Division VI playoffs in Vacaville. The Falcons fell behind 2-0 in the first 20 minutes in the first half, but battled back as Colin Moore scored on a breakaway to cut the lead in half. But Vacaville Christian added a goal midway through the second half to seal a 3-1 win. “I think we really outplayed them the whole game, but that third goal kind of took the air out of us,” Forest Lake coach Thad Kopec said. “It was a very good season. I’m happy with the success and growth we saw. The Falcons finished the season with a 9-6-3 record.
