Fire measures poorly timed

The major point that has not been addressed for the two fire services bond measures is the yearly $150 parcel tax for state fire protection we will be paying. Is this going to the local fire departments? If not, why not? The energy used to try and pass these bond measures should have been spent at the state level to recover this money for local use.
