On June 6, I read in the Journal that the Newcastle Fire Department went on 512 calls in one year.
If that’s the case, why do they need a place to sleep? They’re in the truck most of the time.
Sounds like they are showing up at every “fender-bender” in the county. Let’s get real. They don’t need fire trucks showing up at a small cigarette fire along highway 80.
Of course, we all know what budgets are all about. If you don’t use it, you lose it.
