Forest Lake nurtured girls

The last two paragraphs of Dave Krizman’s March 10 column, “Homegrown talent leads to quality hoops,” really rang true. We moved from El Dorado Hills for our daughters to attend Forest Lake during their high school years for the very reason Dave cited, a Christian foundation in education. Both our daughters are athletes, and had we not moved, they would have attended Oakridge High, a school with a very strong athletic program. But Forest Lake, along with the awesome support of the Auburn Journal, provided them the opportunity to grow as athletes, as well as giving them an excellent education firmly rooted in Christian principles.
